27/02/14 Good suggestion about the TAB (and shift+TAB to move back); The problem with having attempt counters is that it might encourage creators to make more frustrating areas to cause high counter counts - which is really something we try to avoid. Basically, every meta-mechanism we add should always encourage having creators make more enjoyable and less-frustrating areas (this has nothing to do with difficulty, as even a hard area can be a lot of fun if you can retry specific segments in it). |

27/02/14 the attempt counter is just for the player who is playing the level; it doesnt get save in any statistic. its purpose is more to give the player an 'attempt cap' at a certain level. so, you could policy yourself, with a 'attempt the level 20 times' thingy. you could even pull a nintendo move and place a disclaimer at every 50 or 100 attempts in a row. |
