12/11/14 I like the new update to how gold works overall, but, even with the knowledge that stuff is in the works to reward non-combat activities, I feel like the gap between combat-focused areas and areas which don't focus on combat might be a bit too big to the point where it discourages making and exploring areas with few or no enemies. I think making golden shurikens grant an amount of gold (they are 'golden' shurikens after all) would help to narrow this gap while still keeping combat worthwhile. The amount per shuriken could increase with each floor, similar to how gold drops increase from enemies. Gold from shurikens could still also be instantly deposited into the gold pool in order to make it possible to lose upon death. However, many areas tend to place one or more shurikens by the shrine, so if this idea is implemented it might be a good idea to make gold gained from shurikens undroppable and instead make them only pay out the first time they are taken to the shrine and/or only upon collecting every shuriken in the area for a perfect completion in order to prevent abuse. Ultimately, I think giving some form of monetary reward to shurikens would both help to keep non-combat areas worthwhile in terms of physical rewards and would help to encourage players to take the time to fully explore each area they come across. |

12/11/14 Check out the new version - it has some long planned changes, but also mixed with your idea - which works out great. |
