12/12/14 The gold little packages are heart breaking when and exceptionally large bag is just out of reach, or you are pixels away and you know you just wont get it, ive even lost more gold attempting to gain some. So would be great to be able to pull the bags towards you with some magnetic effect, like mitsu has a gravitational pull on gold bags. I think you know what I mean |

12/12/14 I also think that this sounds like a good idea, perhaps the magnetic aura size could even be something tied to character level. I do think one issue with this though would be deciding how to handle walls. For example, since gold is affected by gravity (as opposed to many collectibles in games which simply hang in the air), if you made gold pass through walls to reach Mitsu once he was within range it would be a bit odd if Mitsu suddenly went out of range (ex: if he died while gold was flying towards him) as gold would have the potential to get stuck in walls and the like; making gold simply pass through walls when being magnetized would also probably trivialize the penalty of losing it in the first place since it would be a bit too easy to recover even when necessarily near the hazard that killed Mitsu in the first place. On the other side of things, having gold still act as a solid object when being magnetized (ex: it won't pass through thin walls, but it will fly up against them if Mitsu is on the other side) would help when it comes to retrieving gold which is on top of spikes or wedged beneath an ectoplasm cube, but that would be a potentially large amount of small objects flying around the screen if Mitsu is not in a position to immediately collect them and I'd worry that they would bog the game down or potentially get in the way. Basically, I think the main issue to overcome would be balancing such a magnetization effect in such a way that it helps with recovering gold which has fallen in a spot which is either impossible to reach or which forces the player to take damage in order to recover it, but which isn't so effective that it trivializes the penalty and which doesn't risk causing lag if the magnetized money is trapped behind something which prevents it from actually reaching Mitsu. |

13/12/14 A nice example of why they need to be magnetized is when you hit the shurikens and they explode into coins, the coins in the caverns get lost behind the purple bouncing things and we can't get to them. The shuriken coin bags need to be magnetized most of all because most of the time these shurikens are mid jump or above bottomless pits, so we lose gold cause of that. Not that we need more gold, it's really quite ridiculous the amount of gold I have. |

13/12/14 We do have plans for Mitsu to acquire a skill to pull gold from a short distance. |
