Polymorph would be would be an epic item that you could get one of for 300, just like the Veil of Darkness. And for good reason, Polymorph is extremely crazy! However, if a player has enough they CAN have more than one in a level. Once a trigger is activated, either Mitsu or a marked creature (The creature must be named and then selected in Polymorph with a drop down menu) will be transformed into either an Bonon, Enura or Vespi, or a Mook, Cadmeon, or Fungoloid! Which set you can choose depends on your current area, of course. If Mitsu is selected as the target, then he will gain the abilities of whatever he became! He would also be affected by nudges, even against his will. Here's how each one would work:

Bonon

As a Bonon, Mitsu would lose the ability to jump (unless he hits a nudge). He also gains a bash attack in place of his sword, which works just like the Bonon's. Instead of damaging things, it launches them away. Finally, landing on an enemy will headstomp it and damage it.

Enura

As an Enura, Mitsu can only move while jumping. Things that land on his head will not crush him, but instead he can move them around. Touching an enemy as an Enura will deal damage to them. As an Enura, Mitsu cannot damage other Enuras, nor can they damage him.

Vespi

As a Vespi, Mitsu could freely (yet rather slowly) fly around. Attacking would cause him to move back, then charge forward. Anything he hits with his stinger will take damage. If an Enura lands on him, instead of taking damage he can carry it around and it will not jump. Other Vespi will not attack Mitsu unless he attacks them. If Mitsu attacks a Vespi as a Vespi, any nearby Vespi will also become hostile.

Mook

As a Mook, Mitsu can once again not jump without a nudge. He is also affected by gravity and bounces around mostly yet not entirely uncontrollably. However, being more intelligent than a Mook, Mitsu can utilize this to attack. Pressing the attack button will cause Mitsu to curl into a ball, and pressing it again causes him roll forward at a quick speed, damaging anything he runs into. While curled into a ball his hitbox is also slightly small, and he can fit into one block spaces instead of only two block spaces. Similarly to Vespi, other Mooks will only attack if Mitsu attacks them.

Cadmeon

As a Cadmeon, Mitsu can fly! Much faster than when a Vespi, too! Unfortunately, he can only fly in one direction at a time. But he can turn! Either a nudge will turn him, or pressing the dash button will turn 90 degrees clockwise. Pressing the attack button performs a midair tail whip that turns you around, and Mitsu will turn around automatically at a wall. Oh right, did I mention he can't stop moving?

Fungoloid

As a Fungoloid, Mitsu's consciousness transfers from Fungoloid to Fungoloid! Other Fungoloids will not attack him, and in fact with the dash button he can swap to the consciousness of a different Fungoloid! Since Mitsu cannot move, he must navigate either by swapping the Funogloid he controls, or shooting a spore! Pressing left or right shoots a spore in that direction, and when it lands Mitsu will automatically swap to that Fungoloid! If the Fungoloid he is currently in dies, Mitsu's consciousness is destroyed and he essentially dies.

P.S. Anything utilizing the dash while polymorphed still has a cooldown!

To turn back, Mitsu must reach a shrine or be turned back with a trigger. So, what do you think?

Sounds like a crazy idea, indeed.

Haha, that's some insane idea right there :)

We actually had an idea that could 'change' Mitsu into something that would give the player different controls and abilities (such as Mitsu entering a Mech, which acts/plays very differently).

I'm betting we'll see some 'temporary ability/movement changes' for Mitsu in the future - and these are some interesting ideas you thought of!
